Bodywork encompasses a variety of techniques geared to bring a therapeutic effect during a session.  I focus on the fascia because it is the environment in which everything in the body lives down to a cellular level.  It not only surrounds the organs and muscles but surrounds the very cells that make up the muscles and organs.  Fascia is vital to all systems of the body.  It is the primary conduit of communication in the body enabling muscles, organs, cells and systems to interact and keep us functioning efficiently.  It supports, protects and stabilizes our bodies 24/7 and when it is compromised we can experience dysfunction in our sleep, digestion, metabolic function, cognitive abilities, accelerated ageing, cellulite, joint and bodily aches and pains.

Fascia supports our mechanoreseptors and proprioceptors keeping us balanced and safe.  Recent scientific research is proving theories that have been held about the connective tissue and showing us so much more regarding the vital role it plays in our daily existence. 

I look at it this way.  You can eat right and exercise but if your environment is polluted, you will not thrive.  I work with the environment of the body so that homeostasis can be sustained with ease.

Greetings!  I am Roxanne, a licensed massage therapist specializing in Upledger CranioSacral Therapy and connective tissue.  It is my desire to bring awareness to the importance of the connective tissue system as a foundation to health and well-being.  My goal is to assist you in reaching your wellness objectives through bodywork and, as a trained MELT Method instructor, empower you with self-care education.
